SHERIDAN — Wyoming American Legion AA released its All-State baseball teams, voted on by coaches last week, and a couple Sheridan Troopers made the list.

Race Johnston and Ayden Roush both earned second-team honors. The Casper Oilers laid claim to both the Player of the Year (Brooks Browning) and Pitcher of the Year (Carter Young). Coach of the Year went to Evanston’s Jason Lloyd, and Cheyenne Post 6’s Cody Brooks reeled in the State Tournament’s Most Valuable Player award.

Cheyenne led the way with four All-State selections, while Casper, Gillette, Jackson and Laramie all had three players receive All-State recognition.

Post 6 won the state tournament.
