SHERIDAN — Marian and Dale Ring celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 27 with the renewal of their wedding vows with Rev. James Heiser officiating, followed by a family dinner at the Wyoming Rib and Chop House.

The Rings met in Howells, Neb., where Dale Ring was employed as a math teacher.

Their first home was in Page, Neb., and in 1965 they moved to Sheridan.

Dale Ring taught math, electronics and vocational classes until his retirement in 1994.

Marian Ring was a stay-at-home mother until their children started school.

She then began her career with Sheridan County School District #2 at Sheridan High School as a math aide and then as a secretary at Taylor and Sagebrush Elementary Schools until her retirement in 2004.

The Rings have three sons, Torrance of Phoenix, Ariz., Kirk (Polli) of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Kevin of Cave Creek, Ariz.

The Rings have four grandchildren, Alex and Anna of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Rochelle and Nathan of Cave Creek, Ariz.
