Ferries graduates from University of Denver on dean’s list

SHERIDAN — Evelyn Ferries, daughter of Jane Ferries and the late Greg Ferries of Sheridan, graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish.

Ferries was also named to the dean’s list.

She will attend Le Cordon Blue Institute of Culinary Arts in San Francisco, Calif., this fall.

Her grandparents are John and Audrey Ferries of Sheridan and Betty and the late Myron Jarvis of Riverton.


Worley graduates from UW-Stevens Point spring graduates 2013

SHERIDAN — Lindsay H. Worley of Sheridan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point during their 2013 spring commencement ceremonies.

Worley received a Bachelor of Science in health promotion.


Jerney graduates basic military training

SHERIDAN — Air Force Airman 1st Class Brendan A.Z. Jerney graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

He completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

He also earned four credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jerney is a 2012 graduate of Big Horn High School. He is the son of Elizabeth O’Grady of Sheridan.


Ming Jiang promoted to specialist in National Guard

SHERIDAN — Ming Jiang of Sheridan was recently promoted to specialist in the Wyoming Army National Guard.

Jiang is a heavy vehicle driver in the 920th Forward Support Company, 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery. He has been a member of the National Guard for two years.
