SHERIDAN — Oscar Juroszek and Bess Juroszek of Sheridan will celebrate 60 years of marriage Friday.
They were married at the Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Denver, Colo., on June 21, 1953. The marriage was blessed at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan.

Oscar Juroszek served in the 45th Infantry during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1952.

He was working for Maverick Roofing and Siding in Billings, when he met his future wife.

After they were married he worked for Wilson Meat Company and New York Life. He established Oscar Bilt Homes in 1959, which he continues to head. He is also a representative for Nelson Homes.

Bess Juroszek graduated from Barnes Business College in Denver, Colo. and worked for Carnation Company. She then became one of the first stewardesses for Frontier Airlines in Denver from 1950-1953.

When she married she became a mother and homemaker.

She worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a library technician from 1970 until her retirement in 1997.
The couple has lived in Sheridan for 60 years.

The Juroszeks enjoy traveling and visiting family and friends.

The couple has four children: John (Christine) Juroszek of Lansing, Mich., Regina (Dan) Juroszek-Smith of Sheridan, Steve (Sheri) Juroszek of Bozeman, Mont., and Susan Brophy of San Jose, Calif.
They have four grandsons.

A picnic celebration will be held at the park near the Big Horn Woman’s Club.
