‘Tidbit Saturday’ coming to Sheridan County Museum

SHERIDAN – Sheridan County Museum will host its next “Tidbit Saturday” on Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.

This is an opportunity for children ages 5-10 to explore the preservation of history through hands-on activity.

Children attending must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

There is no charge, although donations will be accepted.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’ at the WYO Theater

SHERIDAN – The Classical Theatre Project’s performance of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is coming to the WYO Theater Feb. 15 at 7 p.m.

The Classical Theater is Canada’s only classical repertory company dedicated to performing for student audiences.

“The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is a new adaptation of Mark Twain’s novel and is set against the racially charged backdrop of the American South before the Civil War.

It examines the nature of friendship and freedom in the face of shocking prejudice.

The cast, along with gospel music and imaginative stagecraft, help the audience learn that thinking for themselves is the bravest act of all.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and military, $8 for students and $5 for children 12 and under.

Next ‘Behind the Scenes Saturday’ on Feb. 16

SHERIDAN – The Sheridan County Museum will host its next “Behind the Scenes Saturday” on Feb. 16.

Come by the Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to learn about caring for artifacts and discover why they need rest during the off-season.

There is no charge, but donations will be accepted. Call the museum at 675-1150 for more information.
