SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County Fairgrounds played host to the Wyoming high school rodeo season finale Sunday and Monday.

Despite efforts to obtain the results and money winners from the Wyoming High School Rodeo Association, no final results were sent by press time this morning. We will publish results as soon as they are made available.

The rough stock competition heated up Monday on an afternoon accentuated by hailstorms, giving an extra flare to an already thrilling bull riding event.

Hunter Eller of Wheatland won the bull riding Sunday, taking his ride after contestants took cover during a 10-minute marble-sized hail delay.

Justin Kissak of Gillette, the state points bareback leader entering the final regular season event, took the bareback Sunday with a 70-point ride. Sheridan High School junior Kale Tisbert rode a 48 to finish second.  Second place state points holder Jeffery Zdziarski of Sheridan was bucked off Monday.
