SHERIDAN — Forty- two young women from Wyoming competed in the Little Miss Wyoming pageant in Sheridan over the weekend.

The pageant consisted of interview, casualwear, party dress, photogenic, personality, talent, community service and academic excellence competitions.

The girls will next appear at Cheyenne Frontier Days to meet Gov. Matt Mead. They will also be at the Wyoming State Fair to watch the crowning of Miss Rodeo Wyoming.

The winners are as follows:

Tiny Miss Wyoming — Alayla Merchen, Gillette; Tot Miss Wyoming — Makaylee Robles, Green River; Petite Miss Wyoming — Jordyn Tynsky, Evanston; Little Miss Wyoming — Kera Gallinger, Casper; Preteen Miss Wyoming — Lakin Richert, Guernsey; Teen Miss Wyoming — Samantha Taylor, Gillette.
