SHERIDAN — Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc., a nonprofit educational organization honoring the achievements of outstanding individuals and encouraging youth to pursue their dreams through higher education, recently announced 10 students as recipients of its Honeywell Scholarship. Honeywell, a Fortune 100 diversified technology and manufacturing leader, wholly funds the scholarship program through Honeywell Hometown Solutions, its corporate citizenship initiative.
The program, established in 2014, annually awards 10 scholarships in the amount of $10,000 to Horatio Alger Scholars pursuing a college degree in science, technology, engineering or math.
Honeywell also offers five to seven students an internship experience at the company available exclusively to Horatio Alger Scholars.
Gabrianna Ruskowsky of Sheridan attends the University of Wyoming and was awarded an internship at the Des Plaines, Illinois, Honeywell location.
