SHERIDAN – A couple thousand attendees enjoyed the Earth Day Festival and Local Foods Expo Saturday at Sheridan College, according to Ace Young, event coordinator.

Spread out between the Golden Dome, the Watt Agricultural Center and an outdoor tent, the expo offered a variety of educational events and vendors to celebrate Earth Day and local efforts at land stewardship.
“We’re happy. We got a positive response from vendors and attendees, and we’ll make it bigger and better next year,” Young said.

The expo offered a gear swap for outdoor equipment, a milk separating demonstration, information on new recycling technology and myriad other activities, including a local foods expo that served food prepared entirely with regionally provided ingredients.

“We’re looking forward to next year and can’t thank the City of Sheridan enough for all their support of this event,” Young said.
