SHERIDAN — The Woodland Park Elementary fifth-grade class taught by Sara Stevens participated in Expedition Yellowstone on April 5-8.

The students experienced a week of learning which included hiking through all types of weather along with Yellowstone Park rangers.

They explored and learned about geology, ecology and wildlife habitats.

Financial support for the trip was provided by the Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation. Domino’s Pizza helped the students with fundraising and Albertsons donated groceries. The Woodland Park Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization and the Woodland Park Elementary community also provided support for the expedition.
