SHERIDAN — Five local runners won their respective age divisions in the Little Bighorn Run – 10 Mile Challenge on Saturday at the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in Crow Agency, Mont.

The course was 10.4 miles and started at the Visitor Center, following the park tour road out to Reno-Benteen Battle site and back.

Sheridan residents Curt Schwamb and Linda Schwamb won the Golden Masters overall with times of 1 hour 22 minutes and 43 seconds and 1:35:21 respectively.

In the 18-29 age male bracket Clay Stoner of Sheridan won with a time of 1:14:08. He was second in the overall top 40 finishers.

Sheridan resident Del Acker won the 60 and over race with a time of 1:23:24 and Kolbi Olson of Sheridan won the 18-29 female race with a time of 1:39:29.

In the overall top 40, Michael Kingman of Sheridan also took 10th at 1:24:35.

Sheridan residents Shelly Stoner and Diane Boice also finished in the top 40 racers, taking 25th and 26th place respectively on Saturday.
