SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Broncs soccer team ran into the Laramie Plainsmen on Saturday afternoon, suffering a 0-5 loss.
Coach Kevin Rizer said the loss allows the team to see what they need to work on.
“If in the end we are playing in the state championship game, this game we would be able to look back on to see what we need to fix and work on,” Rizer said.
He added that he thought the game went fairly well until Laramie’s second goal, which created a snowball effect.
“In Wyoming soccer season is a marathon,” Rizer said. “It’s not where we start it’s where we end. You can lose every game and in the end be the state championships.”
The Broncs went into halftime 0-2. The team had a few chances to score but couldn’t get anything to go in ending the game down 0-5.
The Broncs will play at Gillette on Friday at 5 p.m.
