The Downtown Sheridan Association wants to thank all of our volunteers and sponsors for the past year. Without you we would not have accomplished all that we have.

This year our volunteer of the year is Evan Jones. He has literally volunteered to help DSA and the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce out in almost every event this past year. It is such a wonderful feeling to honor our volunteers who have done so much for us.

(wise)Men’s Night Out is coming up on Dec. 19th! Gentlemen, why wait until Dec. 24 to get your Christmas shopping done when you have your own special night. Come and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drink specials at downtown eateries to begin the evening. Merchants will have in-store specials, gift wrapping, refreshments and prize drawings. Take advantage of this special night to have some fun, maybe win something, and get your shopping done early… well, earlier. We will see you on the 19th!

(wise)Men’s Night Out is brought to you by the Historic District Business Committee, a joint committee of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Sheridan Association. The HDBC meets every other month at 8 a.m. in the Sheridan College downtown and strives to provide an upbeat forum for Sheridan businesses in and around the Historic District to collaborate and work to further economic prosperity. The next meeting will be Jan. 19.

We have amazing support each year for our annual fundraiser, the Wild West Wine Festival. This year’s event will be at the historic Warehouse 201. This fundraising event provides for many of our projects through the year. Projects like the hanging flower baskets downtown. We partner with the Sheridan College Agriculture Department to hang more than 155 petunias down Main Street. It takes numerous volunteers and workers to transplant, hang up, water and take down these flowers each year.

Tickets will go on sale Dec. 16 for the Wild West Wine Fest. They make good Christmas presents. Get yours ahead of time. They sell out fast!

Look forward to seeing you downtown this holiday season!

Stacie Coe is the executive director of the Downtown Sheridan Association.
