SHERIDAN — Landon’s Greenhouse and Nursery invites the public to three free workshops on Saturday and one April 9.
Saturday’s workshops will begin at 8:30 a.m. with “Eat Your (Very Own) Veggies.” Join Janelle Gray for an introduction to the basics of growing your own vegetables. She will cover planting, proper watering and pest control.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday join Keith Kershaw and Donald Legerski for “The Fruits of Your Labor.” They will talk about all aspects of understanding fruit trees, including how to make your tree choices, planting, harvesting and protecting your trees from pests and disease.
The final Saturday workshop will be at 1 p.m. when Wayne Gray will present “Everything is Coming up Roses.” Don’t be intimidated by these classic beauties — you can grow roses successfully. Gray will go over how to plant, prune, deadhead, water and over-winter these fragrant flowers.
The “Everything is Coming up Roses” workshop will be presented again on April 9 at 5:30 p.m.
Workshop space is limited, so Landon’s requests pre-registration. Call 672-8340 or stop by Landon’s at 505 College Meadow Drive to sign up.
