SHERIDAN — One mistake cost the Sheridan College Lady Generals soccer team the win at Central Wyoming College in Rock Springs Friday. The team lost 1-0.

“We had some great play in the first half and outshot them,” coach Stefan Skillman said. “Second half we defended the whole, and we did not generate any offense.”

Jacey Respis played strong and Celena Kelly denied a few opportunities, Skillman said. Emily Boehm controlled the middle of the field and Lea Hickman did a great job playing various roles up top for the team, Skillman added.  He said the team is learning its system, and the girls from starters to reserves are getting more and more confident with it.

The Sheridan College Lady Generals play Laramie County Community College, which is the No. 2 team in the nation for the National Junior College Athletic Association, today.

The Sheridan College men’s soccer team lost to Central Wyoming College in Rock Springs 3-1. Braydon Drell got the Generals lone goal. They play LCCC today in Laramie.
