SHERIDAN — The 2A and 4A state golf tournaments have been postponed due to expected early snowstorms, the Wyoming High School Activities Association announced today.

“After being in contact with each of the golf courses and tournament directors that will be hosting this year’s State Golf Tournaments, looking at the weather forecast, and attempting to limit lost school time, we are making the following adjustments to the State Golf schedule,” Ron Laird, WHSAA commissioner said in an email.

Both tournaments have been moved to Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday Oct. 1.

The 2A tournament is set for Devil’s Tower Golf Club in Hulett, while the 4A event will be played in Rock Springs.

Play was originally scheduled to start Thursday.
