SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College volleyball team swept its Saturday matches to finish the Golden Dome Invitational.

Over the two-day tournament, Carley Gerving led the way with 46 kills for the Lady Generals. Jenna Jordan totaled 100 assists on the weekend, Britney Titensor and Jill Espeland each had 60 digs and Tyler Chrisman had 23 blocks.

Sheridan improved to 3-3 on the season with the successful weekend.

There will be plenty more home action for the Lady Generals as they host Central Wyoming College Thursday at 7 p.m., followed by another tournament Friday and Saturday when they’ll see Eastern Wyoming College, Williston State and Dawson.

Lady Broncs volleyball 2-3 at Cheyenne Invite

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School volleyball team was 1-2 at the Cheyenne Invitational Saturday.

“Overall we had a good weekend,” head coach Wendi Ruby said. “We are still trying to find the right line-up where every player is utilized to their full potential. As always, there are certain things we know we need to work on, and we’ll focus on those at practice this week, and look to clean things up this weekend.”

Saturday, the Lady Broncs beat Rock Springs (25-20, 25-18) before falling to Cheyenne South (25-19, 25-15) and Kelly Walsh (25-19, 19-25, 15-9).

The Lady Broncs finished the weekend 2-3. They’ll play in Gillette today at 7 p.m.

“I am excited about the potential of the team, and with some fine tuning, we hope to get better each day,” Ruby said.
