SHERIDAN — Past resident artists from Jentel Foundation are taking a different look at the world of books in an exhibition at Sagebrush Community Art Center starting Wednesday and ending Oct. 5.

“Unbound” features examples of creative approaches to exploring various aspects of handmade books — binding, paper, content, format, printing, images, media and styles.

On Wednesday from 5-7 p.m., Mary Jane Edwards, executive director of the Jentel Foundation and curator for the exhibit, will speak.

She will also show the individual pages of “Collapse of the Home: Tejas,” an unusual book by Alice Leora Briggs.

This book was a collaboration organized by Railsmith, an informal group of artists who engineered and produced the hand-printed, lithographic, pop-up book in a limited-edition of 13.

Refreshments will be provided and the public is invited to attend.

Sagebrush Community Art Center is in the Historic Train Depot at 201 E. Fifth St.
